The fundamental concept of the T5 approach is not new. Whether using S.M.A.R.T. Goals, the GROW model, or one of the many goal-setting tools available, the key is:
Get things on paper, examining your goals from all angles, and drilling down to the key elements that are going to help you be successful.
The T5 model does just that. Starting with your Values and Vision, you are guided through activities to get clarity on what is important to you.
This reflection leads to goal setting, ensuring you can connect the things you are doing today to who you are as a person, and where you want to be tomorrow, next week, next year. A development plan is a critical component of an individuals personal and professional growth. While training exposes you to thoughts, theories, research, ideas and concepts – it is only by putting these into practice that we experience meaningful and sustainable growth.
The act of articulating your values, vision and goals, and taking the further step of writing them down, is a powerful tool in helping keep focused and maintaining momentum.
